BE LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD AND SUCCEED

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Lk.4:1-2, Jn.4:24, Jn.6:63, Jn.14:17, Rom.8:26, Jn.14:26, Gen.2:14-18, Gen.2:21-23, Ruth 4:13, Is.8:18, Pro.19:14, Ps.127:3, 1Pet.3:7

Many husbandmen are quick to forget that the kingdom (family) God has positioned them to rule over is first a spiritual one. They forget that it is created by God, who is Spirit (Gen.2:14-18, Jn.4:24). They also forget that the sheep (wife and children) in their care are spiritual products (Gen.2:21-23, Ruth 4:13, Is.8:18, Pro.19:14, Ps.127:3).

As the husbandman, the outcome of leading your life and the lives of your wife and children without the help of the Holy Spirit is frustration, depression, confusion and hopelessness. This is why the Scripture has this to say.

And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness (Lk.4:1).

Jesus Christ, who is the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman, was led by the Spirit of God. He always depended on His heavenly Father in all the decisions He took. He did nothing except as directed by His Father. This is why He succeeded in all tasks while He was on earth. The Holy Spirit must lead you, too, if you want to succeed in your assignment as the good and godly husbandman.

There are so many things you don’t even know how to pray about, and so many decisions you want to take (Rom.8:26). But if you depend on the leading of the Spirit of God, you will pray the perfect will of God and take right and godly decisions that lead to success, peace and quietness.

But you be humble! You must give yourself to the ministry of the Word and engage the weapons of prayer and fasting. Therefore, keep learning at the feet of the Person of the Holy Spirit so you can be positively impactful as the husbandman (Jn.14:26).

Hallelujah!
