And hope maketh not ashamed because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given to us (Rom.5:5)
Until the husbandman has the love of Jesus Christ planted firmly in his heart, it will be difficult for him to love his wife as Christ has loved the church and nurture his children in the way and admonition of the Lord (Eph.5:25, Eph.6:4).
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up. Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil. Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in truth. Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things (1Cor.13:4-7)
The love of God is evidential, that is, it is visible to people. You don’t have to explain it, but manifest it. If you have the love of Christ firmly planted in your heart, you will manifest kindness, humility, mercy, forgiveness, and compassion. You will always be motivated to seek the good of others over and above your own interest. You will always be sensitive to the concerns of others. You will always want to serve the best interest of others, regardless of whether they are below your status, age or qualification. You will always show empathy and sympathy to others when they fail and fall into iniquity. It builds your inner man to persevere and endure the weaknesses of others. It strengthens your commitment to hope for the best and believe only in good outcomes for others. These are the attributes that define your heritage as the good and godly husbandman.
But these virtues will not jump on you by chance. You must take personal responsibility to sow the seeds of Christ love to others so you can bear the fruit of the Spirit to your wife, children, and in the marketplace. That is what makes you the good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower Your love to be shed abroad in my heart by Your Word and Spirit.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to demonstrate Your love to my wife and children as You would.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to remain in Your word and help me to obey Your instructions for me as the husbandman

FAITH CONFESSION
The love of Jesus Christ is firmly rooted in my heart, and by the empowerment of the Person of the Holy Ghost, I manifest the fullness of Christ’s love to my wife and children and in the marketplace because God has ordained me to live as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
PRAYER OF SALVATION/REDEDICATION
Now that you have read the devotional, you need to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ (1Tim.2:4). It is the first step in your walk of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Please, pray this prayer of salvation in faith.
Lord Jesus, I come to you today just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
