Bible Texts: Job 1:1-3, Ecc.12:13-14, Ps.24:1-2, Ps.1:1-3, 1Cor.13:4-8, Gen.20:5, 1Kgs.9:4, Pro.20:7, Gen.17:1-3, Gen.12:1-3, Jn.15:5, Jn.14:26
When I hear some husbandmen speak glowingly about being people of integrity, I ask what exactly they are talking about, because integrity is not what you talk about but what you do by your conduct and actions. That is how God described Job, a husbandman, like you and I.
There once was a man named Job who lived in the land of Uz. He was blameless- a man of complete integrity. He feared God and stayed away from evil……… (Job 1:1-3) NLT
The Bible describes Job as a man of complete integrity. Even satan testified about Job’s integrity (Job.1:8). Not because Job said he was, but because of his conduct and actions at every point of his life; how he related and conducted himself, how he handled opportunities, and how he treated others.
As the husbandman, can God testify that you are a man of complete integrity? Can people testify that you are a man of integrity? But what is integrity, and why must you and I be husbandmen of complete integrity?
Integrity means being honest, trustworthy, and morally upright. Integrity is not about convenience and excuses, but it is about a person’s honesty, moral commitments, and willingness to do what is always right and in every circumstance. And these actions build trust, credibility, and strong relationships with God and others.
God wants to testify about you before satan, your wife, your children and in the marketplace, but you must be a husbandman of complete integrity for it to happen.
But why must I be the husbandman of complete integrity?
It is God’s perfect will for you. (Rom.12:1-2, Ps.24:1-3). It is because God wants to bless you and make you a blessing (Gen.12:1-3). It is because your conduct and actions have direct and indirect impacts on those whom God has entrusted to your care to lead, beginning with your home, your wife, and your children and those you relate with.
Hallelujah!
