Authority In Your Spoken Word

And Jesus rebuked him, hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him and hurt him not. And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, what a word is this! For with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits and they came out (Lk.4:35-36)

As the head of your family and the husband whom God has ordained to lead your wife and children, you must appreciate the power that accompanies the words that you speak. You are a man of authority. You are an embodiment of power. Every word that proceeds from your mouth is so powerful; it redefines the outcomes of your wife and children. Jesus spoke with so much authority and power that He commanded evil and unclean spirits to leave the bodies of the oppressed. You are a Christ in your family fold. You have the mind of Christ. You represent the kingdom and power of God in the lives of your wife and children. And God will honour the words you speak in the direction of your wife and children.

The Scripture says that the words that I speak are full of spirit and life (Jn.6:63). If you speak dishonourable words to your flock, they are going to behave just as you have declared it. So, also if you speak graceful words into their lives, they will manifest exactly as you have said it. However, you must understand that you speak out of the abundance of your heart. This requires you to guard what goes into your heart either through the books you read, the things you hear and even the misbehavior of your wife and children. Therefore, enrich your life with the right words from the word of God and make it your basis for your declarations.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower my words to have positive impact in the lives of my flock.

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, anoint my tongue with power and authority.

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, help me to speak the right words to my flock.

FAITH CONFESSION

I speak words of grace and power into the lives of my wife and children because that is what makes me a good and godly husband in Jesus Name. Amen.
