PRAY UNTIL THE CHANGE HAPPENS

Today’s devotional draws its lessons from the Christian film titled, “War Room”. Although the film showed how the wife prayed her irresponsible husband into righteousness, you and I as shepherds of our sheep can learn a lesson therefrom. And that lesson is that you can pray the revival you want to see in your wife and children. All you need to do is to pray until the change happens. I encourage to get a copy and watch. It is very important for you to know that your call into husbandhood is a call to greater practical responsibility. In the pursuit of living the life that pleases God as the man, husband and father, you must be prepared to take all round responsibility. This is why I remarked by the help of the Holy Ghost that when a husband learns to kneel before God, he will stand tall before his wife and children and over the circumstances of life. There is no irreconcilable wife and children. There are only unwilling husbands, not ready and prepared to go into the war room of prayers to regain their family-fold and flock. As the head of the family, there is one thing you must appreciate, and that is, you are an ordained intercessor. The same way Jesus Christ interceded for the church (John 17:1, 6, 8, 12), so you are to pray for your sheep. It is not true that your wife cannot change. It also not true that your child (ren) cannot change from bad to good and even better. Do you remember Apostle Peter in the Bible? He was a fearful bride. Jesus Christ knew about this weakness and interceded for him. The Scripture says of Jesus Christ to him, Peter, Satan has planned to sift you as wheat, but I have prayed for you (Luke 22:31). This same Peter preached a message and 3,000 people gave their lives to Jesus. Why? Because the Bridegroom interceded for him. As the head of your family, you must continue to uphold your wife and children on the altar of your war room. Rather than make war with your wife and children, transfer it to the enemy of your family-fold, the devil. Satan is your arch-enemy. He hates you and your marriage. He has three missions he would want to achieve- to steal, kill and destroy. You must not give him a yard otherwise he would take a mile. God has put you in firm command and control of your family fold. You have to walk in that reality that you are more than a conqueror in Christ. When you apply the wonders of the war room, you will attain instant recovery of your lost wife and children. Secondly, you will enjoy daily victory over ungodly influences. Your sheep becomes insulated from the attraction of sin and unrighteousness. Thirdly, you provide a strong foundation for them to stand on in the now and in the future. Your war room is not meant to destroy your flock. It is designed to stop the wiles of the enemy.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, pour upon me the Spirit of grace and supplication.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, teach me how to pray aright and according to Your word.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, answer me when I call and give me tangible testimonies.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am going to pray until the positive transformation I want to see in my wife and children happens because that is my victory as the good and godly husband in Jesus Name. Amen.
