THE HUSBANDMAN OF COMPLETE INTEGRITY

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Job 1:1-3, Ps.24:1-2, Ps.1:1-3, 1Cor.13:4-8, Gen.20:5, 1Kgs.9:4, Pro.20:7, Gen.17:1-3, Gen.12:1-3, Jn.15:5, Jn.14:26

One of the husbandmen in the Bible who continues to present to you and I the whole duty of who we are as men, husbands and fathers, is Job. And this is why I encourage you to give attention to today’s passage in Job chapter 1.

There once was a man named Job who lived in the land of Uz. He was blameless- a man of complete integrity. He feared God and stayed away from evil. He had seven sons and three daughters. He owned 7,000 sheep, 3,000 camels, 500 teams of oxen, and 500 female donkeys. He also had many servants. He was in fact the richest person in that entire area (Job 1:1-3) NLT

I love the opening statement in the above Scripture about the husbandman called Job. It did not only give you the assurance that God designed every husbandman to be complete, it also establishes that every husbandman can be completein all things in Christ (Col.2:9-10).

When God created you, He had configured you to be full and whole in all things- spirit, soul and body (3Jn.1:2). That was the testimony of Job. The Bible says he was a man of complete integrity. But what made this husbandman a complete personality?

He feared God and stayed away from sin and its attractions. He lived by the principles of the word of God. This is the kind of life that God wants you to live for the sakes of your wife and children. But why must I be the husbandman of complete integrity? It is because God wants to bless you and to make you a blessing (Gen.12:1-3).

You are the person God has ordained to lead your life and the lives of your wife and children. You must understand and appreciate the fact that the way you live your life has a direct impact on the lives of your wife and children. And the impact on your life and the lives of your wife and children, whether positive or negative, may be immediate or manifest in the future.

Now, how do I become the husbandman of complete integrity? You become the complete husbandman of integrity when you walk in the fear of God in all things- in your financial relationships with others, at work and in all your pursuits. You must also be a faithful servant to everything that God has committed into your hands- your marriage, your wife and children, your finances, position, power, authority and relationships. You must allow the Scripture in Genesis chapter 17 and verses one (1) through to three (3) to guide you.

Walk before me and be thou perfect (Gen.17:1-3).

And as you walk in integrity, you become a candidate for trans-generational blessing like Abraham (Gen.12:1-3). But you must remember that you cannot walk in complete integrity without the help of the Person of the Holy Spirit (Jn.14:26, Jn.15:5). You need courage, boldness and faith to stand for righteousness and do what is right. And prayer is the platform that God has provided for you to access power to become the husbandman of complete integrity.

You are a shining light to your wife and children. You are the ambassador of Christ in your home and on earth. You must stay focused on the goal that is set before you. You must therefore not allow the temporary benefits of iniquity to quench the blessings of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus empower me to walk in the fear of the Lord in everything I do.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the power of ungodly influences and relationships.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, make me the good and godly example to my wife and children and empower them to follow after me.

FAITH CONFESSION

I have the life of Christ in me and I walk in the fear of God in all that I do because I am ordained by God to be the husbandman of complete integrity in Jesus name. Amen.
