SETTING RIGHTEOUS STANDARDS (2)

Spread the love

Bible Texts: 2Cor.6:17-18, Ps.1:1, 1Jn.5:17, 1Cor.15:33-34, 1Cor.14:40, Rom.6:1, 1Cor.14:20, 1Cor.14:25. 1Cor.16:9, 1Cor.16:13

As you work with the Person of the Holy Spirit to set standards and patterns according to the word of the Lord, which makes you the good and godly husbandman, you must be aware of this important decision you must make. It is the relationship you form and keep.

Wherefore, come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord and touch not the unclean things and I will receive you. And I will be a Father unto you and ye shall be my sons and daughters saith the Lord Almighty (2Cor.6:17-18)

One of the most importance forces that influence your decision to set godly standards as the husbandman is the association you keep and what you identify yourself with. The association either leads you to do what pleases the Lord Jesus Christ or makes him disobey the instructions of God because evil communications corrupt good manners (1Cor.15:33)..

What must I look out for in any relationship or association and why must I separate myself?

All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not unto death (1Jn.5:17)

God wants you to come out from wrong and ungodly relationships, associations and activities because it does not fit your personality as the good and godly husbandman and as the ambassador of Jesus Christ. Whatever is not of God is sin and you must not be part of it, regardless of what people think, say or believe.

You must come out from relationships and associations that lead you to abusing your wife and children, neglecting your covenant responsibilities to them, greed and covetousness, lying, abuse of your body and the bodies of others through in-take of drugs and alcohol, stealing, disobeying and disregarding the laws of the land where you live, adultery, bitterness, unforgivenss, hatred, malice, laziness, bad will towards others, a false witness, an agent of discord, and serving other gods are all unrighteousness (1Cor.15:34).

God delights in you setting good and godly standards. God is happy when your conduct yourself and relate with your wife and children as Jesus Christ relates with the church. It gives God joy when you represent Jesus Christ in all you do as the man, husband and father.

Hallelujah!
