Know ye not, brethren, for I speak to them that know the law, how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth, but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband (Rom.7:1-2)
But what does the law that governs the good and godly husband, say?
It says you must abide in Jesus Christ, the perfect example of the good and godly husband.
I am the vine, ye are the branches. He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit. For without me, ye can do nothing. Herein is my Father glorified that ye bear much fruit, so shall ye be my disciples (Jn.15:5,8)
All that the word of God commands you to do as you lead yourself, wife, and children can only be accomplished by the help of God through His Son, Jesus Christ (Philp.2:13). So, without Jesus Christ, you cannot fulfill your mandate and bear fruit as the good and godly husbandman.
The law also says that you must have a quality and healthy relationship with Jesus Christ if you must become a better person in your thoughts, conduct, actions, responses and reactions.
If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things have passed away, behold all things have become new (2Cor.5:17)
It is the love of Christ that is shed abroad in your heart that sets the firm foundation upon which all other principles of Scripture are cultivated and nurtured.
Therefore, you must have and continue to have a sincere relationship with God through Jesus Christ and be sanctified in all so that you can be fit for the Master’s use.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me by the Spirit of love to love You with all my heart, mind, body, spirit and soul.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, let the power of Your love be rooted in my heart.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to bear fruits after Your likeness in my heart, conduct, action, responses and reaction.
FAITH CONFESSION
I love the Lord God with all my heart, soul, body, mind and spirit because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
