As the good and godly husbandman, what really gives you victory? What empowers you to deliver on your calling as the godly man, husband and father? These are important questions to ask, and by the help of the Person of the Holy Spirit, we will be discovering the weapon of our victory.
What gives you victory as your lead your life as the good and godly husbandman is the weapon of the word of God.
For the WORD OF GOD is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow and is a discerned of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Heb.4:12)
The Scripture in Hebrews chapter 4 and verse 12 gives four powerful truths about the Word of God. It says that the Word of God is alive; it is powerful; it is the sharpest; and it is most penetrating.
This means that the Word of God is the most potent force that gives you victory over the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life (Gal.5:22-24). The Word of God enforces the good and godly changes you want to see happen in your life as the good and godly man, husband and father.
What empowers you to live a life pleasing to God, your wife, your children and to the world is the Word of God because it carries the Spirit of Christ, the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman (Ezk.2:2, Jn.10:1). The word of God is more powerful than money, cars, formal education, nice houses, and other material things of life. Praise God!
The Word of God will always make a way of escape for you through the challenges of life. The Word of God is life. It is the weapon of warfare, and it is available for your taking.
Now, how powerful is the word of God that gives me victory as the husbandman?
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, make me a word addict and let Your Word dominate my life.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, make Your Word potent and fruitful in my life.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, make Your Word to be fruitful in the lives of my wife and children.
FAITH CONFESSION
I engage with the Word of God passionately; I believe what it says and act exactly as it commands because it is life-giving to my walk as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
