BUILDING YOUR HOME ON CHRIST’S FOUNDATION

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Matt.16:18, Jn.10:29, Mk.9:29, Jn.10:9, 2Cor.5:17, Jn.15:3-5, Pro.4:20-22, Ps.1:1-3, Jn.5:39, Rom.5:5, 2Tim.2:15, Jos.1:6-8, Ps.1:1-3

There is an important demand God wants every husbandman to commit himself to, and that is, to build his home on Jesus Christ. This means that, as the good and godly shepherd, God wants you to build your home by the rules and principles of the Word of God, not the rudiments of the world.

But why is building your home on Jesus Christ so important to God and to you? This is the answer.

The thief cometh but to steal, to kill and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly……..(Jn.10:10)

There is a fierce battle raging against the husbandman and his family. Satan, sin and the world are pressing hard to influence the family and home of the good and godly husbandman. But with Jesus Christ as the foundation of your family, your home will escape and overcome the storms of satan, sin and the world.

Building your home on Jesus Christ and His word is the only security you have against the attacks of satan, sin and the world (Matt.16:18). The Word of God does not only build your home, but it also protects and sustains it. The Word of God also repels the arrows of the enemy shot at you or your sheep. The Word of God provides a covering over and against ungodly influences. That is the power in the Word of God, Jesus Christ (Jn.1:1-3).

As the good and godly husbandman, you must continue to take your leadership position very seriously by taking responsibility to build your home on Jesus Christ and His word.

Hallelujah!

GOOD REPORT FROM THE FIELD

  • The devotional spoke to me this morning. I struggle with bitterness and forgiveness frequently. I need to show more love and compassion to my wife and son even when they are ungodly because that is my duty to protect, love and serve them (Taylor, S)
  • The devotional is amazing. I truly needed to read the entire devotion. Great words and scripture to solidify the message. Praise God. Amen (Mike)
