YOU’RE A MERCHANT OF ABUNDANT LIFE

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Jn.10:9-10, Rom.12:18, Lk.10:5, 2Chro.32:7, Jn.3:4-8, 2Cor.5:17, Pro.4:20-25, Jn.5:39, Jn.6:63, 2Tim.2:15, Ezk.2;2, Jas.1;22-25, Heb.11:1,6, Rom.10:10

Today’s teaching begins with a question. As the husbandman, are you a merchant of death or a merchant of abundant life? To answer this question, I want you to consider Jesus Christ, who is the perfect example of the husbandman.

I am the door; by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out and find pasture. The thief cometh not but for to steal, and to kill and to destroy : I am come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly (Jn.10:9-10)

Jesus, the perfect example of the husbandman, says He came to give life and to give it abundantly. This means that He is a merchant of abundant life, and He has given it to you and I. Like Jesus Christ, you are a merchant of good and not evil. You are a life-giving agent ordained by God to give life to your wife and your children, and not destruction or demotion.

But for you to be a merchant of abundant life, you must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by accepting as your Lord and Personal saviour (Jn.3:4-8, 2Cor.5:17).

You must continue to give attention to the study of the Word of God and keep meditating on it, until the Word becomes flesh to you (Jos.1:6-8, Ps.1:1-3, Pro.4:20-25, Jn.5:39, Jn.6:63, 2Tim.2:15, Ezk.2:2).

You must continue to walk in the knowledge of the truth of God’s Word as a lifestyle. It is not enough to know that you are a merchant of abundant life, you must walk the walk and do the work (Jas.1:22-25).

You must continue to walk by faith in God and in His Word, declaring boldly the blessings of the finished work Jesus did at Calvary, notwithstanding any negative and unpleasant reports (Rom.10:10, Heb.11:1,6).

You are a merchant of good because you are the good shepherd. That is what makes you the good and godly husbandman.

Hallelujah!
