Yesterday, we began this teaching series by establishing from Scriptures that the husbandman is an intercessor; he stands in the gap in prayer for his wife and his children, so they become all that God has ordained them to be. And we started looking at areas you and I must intercede for our wife and children.
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints (Eph.6:18)
What aspects should you and I intercede for our wife and children?
We must pray to God to fill their hearts with His wisdom, so they always make right decisions and choices in all circumstances.
We must pray to God to strengthen their hearts and minds, so they become emotionally stable and unshaken when they are faced with challenges.
We must pray to God to strengthen their physical bodies, so they are strong to serve God, serve us and be useful at home and in the marketplace.
We must pray to God to give them hearing ears and seeing eyes so they can be sensitive to and follow the leading of the Person of the Holy Spirit as they navigate life.
We must pray to God to surround them with people who will influence them to do the perfect will of God.
As the husbandman, you are responsible for the outcomes of your wife and your children. God holds you accountable for them because He gave them to you (Gen.2:20-25, Ps.127:3-4, Eph.6:4, 1Pet.3:7). God wants you steward them like the good shepherd (Ps.23:1-6, Jn.10:1-2, Eph.5:25-29). Don’t transfer the responsibility of praying for your wife and children to anyone. Arise, wake up and take charge on the altar of prayer for them because that is what makes you the good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, pour upon me the spirit of grace and supplication.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, stir up a prayer revival in my life.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to pray aright and give me victory over the works of satan, sin and the world.
FAITH CONFESSION
I am praying always and without ceasing, using the word of God as my foundation that is the empowerment I need to lead as the good and godly man, husband and father in Jesus name. Amen.
PRAYER OF SALVATION/REDEDICATION
Now that you have read the devotional, you need to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ (1Tim.2:4). It is the first step in your walk of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Please, pray this prayer of salvation in faith.
Lord Jesus, I come to you today just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
