Bible Texts: Gen.2:21-23, Heb.11:3, Rom.4:17, Gen.2:21-22, Gen.3:20, Pro. 18:21, Matt.12:37, Gen.2:23, Eph.6:4, Eph.5:25-29, 1Cor.13:4-9, Rom.5:5, 1Tim.3:2, Ps.127:3,
As the husbandman, there is a name God has called your wife and your children, and He expects you to call them exactly what He calls them. That is the commandment for you.
And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept and he took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh instead thereof. And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman and brought her unto the man. And Adam (husband) called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living (Gen.2:21-23)
Like Adam, the first husbandman, God has given you power and authority to repeat the names He calls your wife and your children. And whatever name you call them is exactly who and what they become to you. This is why you must be very careful about what you call your wife and your children.
Why is what I call my wife and children so powerful and impactful? It is because the power of life and death is in your tongue.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof (Pro.18:21)
As the good and godly shepherd, the words that come out of your mouth to your wife and children can either bring life to them or death. What you call them can either bring life to them or death. Regardless of the offences of your wife and children or even the negative situation or circumstance, you must guard and guide your words to call them what God calls them.
But for you to know what God calls your wife and children and call them exactly so, you must search the Bible. God’s word provides you with the blueprint of His description of your wife and children.
Hallelujah!
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, forgive me for speaking ungraceful words to my wife and children.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, fill me with the love of Christ and empower my tongue to speak right words to them.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, make the graceful words of my mouth forceful in their lives.
FAITH CONFESSION
I believe in my heart and confess with my mouth that my wife and children are gifts from God and they are fearfully and wonderfully made. I speak words of grace and honour to them because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
