Fight The Good Fight Of Faith

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: 1Tim.6:11-12

More Scriptures: Rev.12:10, Lk.10:19, Heb.11:33

But as for you, O man of God, flee from all these things, aim at and pursue righteousness, right standing with God and true goodness, godliness, which is the loving fear of God and being Christlike faith, love, steadfastness, patience, and gentleness of heart. Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold of the eternal life to which you were summoned and for which you confessed the good confession, I solemnly charge you (1Tim.6:11-23) AMP

As the husband and the head of your family kingdom, it is a good fight to secure and protect your sheepfold. God handed over the Garden to you so that you can keep it. And as a good steward, you must demonstrate a high level of faithfulness towards the One who gave you the Garden. It doesn’t matter the offence that your wife or children may have done to you or any other person. It also doesn’t matter how justifiable your actions may be towards your flock. In fact, it matters less what suggestions you may have been given by anybody, no matter how highly placed he or she may be. If it doesn’t fit into the Word of God, it is not worth acting on.

You must not allow your wife to toe the path of divorce nor allow your children to drift into the path of destruction. Never! You are the man in charge. You are the one God has appointed as a shepherd over your sheep (Ezk.34:23). See, why you must fight to keep your family. And I sought for a man among them that should MAKE UP THE HEDGE AND STAND IN THE GAP before me for the land……… (Ezk.22:30). It is not the responsibility of your wife to fight for the family as much as it is your covenant demand. God has sought you to build up protection marks in and around your family fold. You must rise up and fight in faith and through the weapons of steadfastness, godliness, patience, gentleness of heart and good confession.

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me with supernatural faith that I may contend with the force of darkness.

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, baptize me with the spirit of boldness and might.

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, let my faith in Your word produce proofs.

I am more than a conqueror in Christ and a victorious shepherd over the wiles of the devil in Jesus Name. Amen.
