Main Scriptures: Genesis 2:18
More Scriptures: Gen.1:28, Dan.11:32, Jn.10:28-29
As the head of the family, it is very critical that you find out the root of your inheritance as spiritual leader in your sheepfold. An understanding of who you are and where you derive your power from will enable you to act like the godly man, husband and father to your sheep at all times and in every circumstance. If you have this mind set, nothing will make you to hate your wife or children nor will you be discouraged to lead them. The Scripture says that they that do know their God shall be strong and they shall do exploits (Dan.11:32). The source of your power is God. Let us make man in our image and in our likeness (Gen.1:26). And God made man in His image and likeness and God blessed him and said be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth and let him have dominion over all things (Gen.1:28)……….. After God has made you in His image and likeness, He said that it is not good for the man to be alone, I will make for him a helpmeet (Gen.2:18). If you act like a god over those challenges in and around your sheep and dominate them, you are not wrong. You have the gene of dominion in you.
The implication of this power that you have is that you can transform your sheep from failure to success. You can through the power of God change those ugly academic poor results of your children to an excellent one. You can also stop the repeated failures in your children’s academics. You can transform your sickly wife to a healthy wife. You can do just about anything in the positive. If you look at the power that the first husband displayed at the beginning, you will discover that the animals behaved to type and the plants tasted and grew to shape. God has made you an overseer over your wife and children and He has empowered you to function in that office. If God didn’t fail, you cannot fail. With this source of power resident in your life, you can say like Jesus said in Jn.10:28-29, my Father, which gave them to me is greater than all and no man is able to take them out of my hands (Jn.10:28-29). As the head of the family, you can exercise that power to recover your wife or children.
But you have to take responsibility for the working of the power. The first is that you must be holy and live a holy life (Ps.24:1-3). The second action point is that you must have the right attitude and approach to the issues concerning your sheep, and deal with it from a pure and right heart (Ps.51:10). Thirdly, you must desire the infilling of the Holy Spirit on a daily basis because He is the custodian of power (Acts 2:1-end). Fourthly, you must operate by unwavering faith in God-a never give up spirit (Heb.11:2-3).
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, pour upon my life the spirit of holiness.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, sanctify my heart and give me a right spirit.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me with the spirit of faith for a victorious living.
I am full of power in God and by it I dominate every negative circumstance in and around my sheep and sheepfold because that is what makes me the good and godly husband in Jesus Name. Amen.
