HOW TO DELIVER ON YOUR AUTHORITY (1)

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Ps.89:5-7

More Scriptures: Hos.4:6, Jn.14:26, Ps.91:1

A lot of the time as the head of the family and the person that God has bestowed the privilege of authority over His sheep, many of us struggle to exert the power of God resident in us. Many are finding it very hard to lead their sheep in the way of the Lord. Many more are confused about what to do to make their presence of immense value to their sheep. And so, it is for this lack of identity that has made many husbands to fail in their responsibilities to be good and godly men, husbands and fathers. The word of God has this to say in this regard. They know not, neither will they understand, they walk on in darkness, all the foundations of the earth are out of course. I have said, ye are gods and all of you are children of the most high. But ye shall die like men and fall like one of the princes. (Ps.89:5-7). So, when you understand your God ordained role in your sheepfold and you diligently act it out, you will enjoy the blessings of the Lord in all that you do.

So, in the next few days, I will be sharing with you some vital keys that will make you the good shepherd that your wife and children will desire. The first key is the key of desiring continually the presence of God. As the head of the family, your greatest asset is not your cars. It is not even your job. It is also not the money you have in your bank account. It is not your education or political power. Your greatest asset is the presence of God. In the beginning when God made the first husband, Adam, He always came down to fellowship with him in the cool of the day. Adam so much enjoyed the presence of God that He had the capacity to dominate the animals both domestic and wild, name all the plants and animals without any formal education. Even when Jesus Christ who is the perfect example of the good and godly husband was with the disciples, one of the assurances He gave them was His presence. I am with you always. That is what you need-the presence of God today.

But what will the presence of God do for me and how does it enhance my authority in the lives of my wife and children and sheepfold? The first thing the presence of God does for you is that it gives access to know the mind of God for your sheep and the ways to handle issues that may arise between you and your sheep and in your sheep. According to the word of God, He teaches you all things (Jn.14:26). The second blessing is that you enjoy supernatural faith to deal with every satanic force that may want to disrupt the plan of God for your life as the man, husband and father.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, I desire Your presence more than anything else.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, make me conscious of Your divine presence everywhere I go.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the power of sin and darkness.

FAITH CONFESSION

God is always with me because I seek His presence as the good and godly man, husband and father in Jesus Name. Amen.

Today I will unsubscribe to this Devotion. Psalm 89:5-7- it never says that we are Gods, there is only GOD THE FATHER, GOD THE SON, AND GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT. You have stated in more than one post that we are Gods- Blasphemy! I rebuke it in Jesus’s name. I pray that you will stop this, but is sad because I enjoyed the other peices of encouragement and advice you gave, but this needs to stop.

      Good morning Bro. Winston,

I trust that you are fine with family and work. I do not think that you should unsubscribe. If you have been blessed in the past, you can stiil be blessed now.

But let me reiterate again this truth.

In Ps.82, the Scriptures says that ye are gods.
In the New Testament, Jesus Christ, restate this truth when He reminded the people that “has it not been said that ye are gods”

And coming from the creation angle, we are made in the image and likeness of God. That means that we do not only have the image of God, we also look act like Him and that is why we have dominion and authority.

So, irrespective of tribe, colour, age, denomination, and sex, God’s word remains eternal.

God bless us all in Jesus name. Amen.
