MAKE A GREAT FEAST (1)

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Lk.15:22-24

More Scriptures: Gen.20:17, Jas.5:13, Rev.11:10

But the father said to his servants, bring forth the best robe, and put it on him and put a ring in his hand and shoes on his feet. And bring hither the fatted calf and kill it and let us eat and be merry. For this my son was dead, and is alive again, he was lost and is found. And they began to be merry (Lk.15:22-24).

Today, I want to share with you my personal testimony and trust God that you will be encouraged as a father. Remember that you are a three-in-one personality. You are a man, a husband and a father. And the desire of God is for you to succeed in every and all areas of your calling as the husbandman. So, I believe that together we can make the most of our office as the head of our family. About two years ago, I came in contact with a book that changed the way I celebrate the achievements of my children. And two years after, I see greater improvements in their academic path. At the end of each term when they must have finished their exams, my wife and I take our children for a special treat. We take them out either to the restaurant or the amusement park. We allow them to have whatever they desire. My wife and I make it so clear to them that diligence is profitable and anyone who intends to make a positive mark on the earth must be diligent. We made them understand that aspect of the virtue of Jesus Christ-diligence and commitment. And to the glory of God Almighty, this session that just ended, my first child had excellent results in all her subjects. My second child had the prize for the overall best student of her class, in addition to other prizes she received. The children now understand that God rewards diligence and not indolence. And the possibilities for a diligent person are limitless.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, fill me with divine wisdom on how to guide my children.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, make me a positive influence in the lives of my children.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, make me a diligent and faithful father to my children.

FAITH CONFESSION

I have the mind of God and I am filled with divine wisdom to influence my children for God and the good of humanity because that is my godly heritage as a good and godly father in Jesus Name. Amen.
