DECLARE THE WILL OF GOD

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Gen.1:1-3

More Scriptures: Jn.6:63, Gen.1:3, Num.14:28

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of the Lord moved upon the face of the water. And God said, let there be light and there was light. (Gen.1:1-3)

Let me begin by saying that everything in life has a beginning. And that includes your shepherdhood responsibilities. Secondly, every “beginning” comes with its challenges. And that includes your position as the spiritual head of your sheepfold where your wife and children are the sheep. But it is what you do that determines the outcome, whether positive or negative.

It is true that your relationship with your wife and children doesn’t seem to have any shape. It may also be true that you have begun to lose your authority as the godly man, husband, and father. It may also be true that it seems your sheepfold is full of darkness. I want to encourage you not to give up on your office as the head of the family. You must also not give up on your leadership role as the spiritual leader over your wife and children. You must understand that challenges are real, and they are the raw materials you need to become the matured husbandman that God wants you to be.

Imagine for a moment what the world would have looked like if God did not do anything to an earth that was without form, void and full of darkness? Your guess is as good as mine. God did not watch things to remain the way they were. He made things to happen the way He wanted it. And that is the lesson you and I must learn if we want to create a glorious sheep and sheepfold.

So, what did God do? He spoke what He wanted. And God said, let there be light and there was light (Gen.1:3). God commanded light. God declared what He wanted to see happen. He did not like what He saw so He spoke into existence what He wanted. You can speak into existence what you want to see happen in the lives of your wife and children. Rather than watch them derail into darkness, you can recover them by the power of your spoken word. Do you know why? It is because the words that you speak carry the spirit and power of God. For the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life (Jn.6:63).

The next time you see what doesn’t represent the nature of God in the lives of your wife and children and in your sheepfold, declare in faith, Let there be light……. Let there be peace!…..  Let there be harmony!……… Let there be joy!………. Let there by fruitfulness!……… Let there be happiness!……….. Let there by love!…………

  • Father, in the name of Jesus, empower my tongue to speak Your will into the lives of my wife and children.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower my tongue to speak Your will into my sheepfold.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, honour Your word in my life, and in the lives of my wife and children and sheepfold.

FAITH CONFESSION

I speak the will of God into the lives of my wife and children and sheepfold because that is what enforces my heritage as the good and Godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
