Bible Texts: Mk.9:17-29, Lam.3:22, Matt.9:36
Few days into one of my daughter’s final examination from high school, I noticed she was not cheerful. Each time I asked about the exams, she gave me a reluctant look that suggested that there was something wrong. She did not speak confidently like she used to. One of those days as I drove her to school, I asked her how the previous day’s paper was and she broke down in tears. I refused to drop her in school but drove her to a quiet place where I had a long chat with her. I encouraged her and returned to the office.
In the office, I began to engage the Person of the Holy Spirit for the way out. Then the journey began for my search and I came in contact with Mark chapter 9 and verses 22. Suddenly, light broke forth in my spirit and I saw the power of a praying father. I saw how a father can change the negative circumstances of his child by prayers. I was moved with compassion for my daughter. I needed Jesus Christ to help her. I fasted for three days, asking the Lord this one thing, if there is anything you can for us, please have mercy and help us. Shortly after I ended the fast, my daughter began to come out of her shell. She began to exude confidence. As the day went, she grew in faith.
The result finally was released and she did not only pass her exams, the paper that triggered her loss of confidence was the paper she had the best grade.
As a father, I realised the incredible power of compassion. I discovered how compassion for our children can inspire faith in our hearts to help our children. I found out that even when we have no clue to the answer, compassion from us towards our children attracts the mercies of God to help our children and save us from shame, burden and pain.
As the good and godly father, you can positively change the lives of your child(ren) by the incredible power of intercession driven by compassion.

- Father, in the Name of Jesus, fight and enforce my financial liberty this year 2022 (2Cor.8:9)
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, give us the latter and former rain of our financial inheritances this year 2022 (Hos.6:3)
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, make the earth I walk on to yield her increase for all my labour in the year 2022 (Ps.67:6)
