Bible Texts: Gen.1:26-28, Lk.10:19, Rom.8:37, 2Kgs.4:17-20
Authourity means the power or right to give orders, make decisions and enforce obedience. Note these important words: power, right, and enforce. God wants you to exercise your right over satan, sin and the world. God wants you to enforce His perfect will for your wife and children in their spiritual lives, health, pursuit, career, finance, work and in all other areas. God does not want you or your wife and children to be taken for a ride by the negative circumstances of life orchestrated by satan and his agents. God has provided you with the tool you require to walk in authority and power.
It is important for you know that the source of the authourity that God wants you to exercise is in God and His word. The Bible says, nay, in all these things we are more conquerors through Him that loved us (Rom.8:37). If you study the life and times of Jesus Christ, the perfect symbol of the godly husbandman who exercised His authourity when He was earth, He demonstrated authourity by the word of God. At the grave of Lazarus, Jesus Christ cried out and said, Father, thank you for hearing me always……, Lazarus come forth and he that was dead came back to life (Jn.11:41-44). He always connected to God the Father, the source of all authourity to manifest His power. And Apostle Paul reaffirmed this when he said, at the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow in heaven, on earth and underneath the earth and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord……(Philip.2:10) Therefore, the source of your authourity is in the word of God. The more you give attention to the word of God and put it to work, the more empowered you become to operate as the godly husbandman with authourity and power.
What should you exercise your authourity over or exercise your godly influence over? I will mention few. And as you give attention to them, I want you to be challenged by what God has prepared you for and begin to manifest the authority of God through Jesus Christ in your life.
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to dominate all forms of oppression in and around my wife and children.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower to secure my sheepfold from all harassment of the enemy.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, make me a more than a conqueror shepherd.
FAITH CONFESSION
I exercise the authority of Jesus Christ over the works of satan, sin and the world, and secure my wife and children because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
