LEADING SUCCESSFULLY BY PRAYERS

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Lk.18:1, Matt.15:32, Lk.21:27, Jos.21:45, Gal.4:19, Eph.1:18, Jn.5:39, Jn.8:32, Jn.3:1-5, Heb.11:1-3, Matt.11:28, Is.1:18, Is.45:2

Let’s begin today’s teaching by laying some biblical truths about prayers, with the hope that you will appreciate that prayer is to you what water is to fish. As the good and godly husbandman who wants to lead his life, wife and children successfully, you must engage the weapon of prayer as an indispensable requirement. You must also understand that prayer is the foundation of your victory over the works of the devil that is trying to manifest themselves in the lives of your wife, children, their health, academics, finances and many more areas. Every time you pray, you are building the power base of your life to challenge every ungodly tendency in and around your family.

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, THAT MEN OUGHT ALWAYS TO PRAY and not to faint (Lk.18:1). Please, note the words underlined. Jesus said, “always to pray”. This means prayer is the lifestyle of the husbandman who wants to provide good and godly leadership to his wife and children. Prayer is like the air you breath.

But what is prayer? Prayer is a spiritual seed. When you pray, you actual sow seeds that go into the future to reshape the destinies and circumstances of your life and that of your wife and children. The Scripture says of God, who goes before us to make the crooked path straight (Is.45:2). Prayer is communion with God, Your heavenly Father. The Bible says of prayer as an effective communication tool. Come and let us reason together… (Is.1:18). You engage God through His Son, Jesus Christ, to share fellowship with Him. Prayer is also the vehicle you use to carry all your challenges to God, through Jesus Christ. The Scripture says this. Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give thee rest (Matt.11:28).

God wants you to lead your life, your wife and children successfully. God wants you to make good and godly impact in their lives. God wants you to be a blessing to them and to enjoy your investment in their lives. And prayer is the platform that God has given to you to achieve all these.

What then happens when I become the husbandman who prays as a lifestyle? Firstly, you prevail over the circumstances of life. Secondly, you begin to do exploits that will bring glory and praise to Jesus Christ. For instance, you lay your hands on your sick wife or child and they recover. Thirdly, you set and reset your life, your wife and children on the path of righteousness. But you must do three things, first.

The first is that you must be born again and have a relationship with Jesus Christ (Jn.3:2-5, 2Cor.5:17). The second is that you must give attention to study and know the word of God for yourself (Jn.5:39, Jn.8:32). The third is that you must walk by faith and not by sight (Heb.11:1-2).

Having uninterrupted communication with God through Jesus Christ is your lifeline for becoming the good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, grant me the Spirit of grace and supplication
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, anoint my tongue for great exploits in my family
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, as I declare Your counsel over my wife and children, let it come to pass.

FAITH CONFESSION

I give myself to pray as a lifestyle because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman to my wife and children in Jesus name. Amen.
