THE SEVEN SPIRITS OF THE HUSBANDMAN (7)

Bible Texts: Rom.8:9, Matt.10:8-10, Lk.10:19, Mk.16:17, Acts 2:4, Dan.11:32, 3Jn.1:2, Jn.20:21, Act 3:6-9, Mk.6:56, 2Tim.1:7, 2Cor.4:13

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the SPIRIT OF CHRIST, he is none of his (Rom.8:9).

Another Spirit of Christ that is in you and at work in your life as the husbandman even as you lead yourself, wife and children is THE SPIRIT OF HEALING.

As the head of your family, it is in your power to administer healing to yourself when you are sick and to your wife and children when they are being afflicted by sickness and diseases. You are their first pastor. You have the healing virtues flowing in you.

Jesus Christ, the perfect example of how the good and godly husbandman should behave, healed the sick and the afflicted.

And Jesus said,

As my Father has sent me, so sent I you (Jn.20:21)

What this means is that you have been authorized by Christ to be a healing channel to your wife and children.

This is why in Luke chapter 10 and verse 19, the Scriptures say,

 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and over all the powers of the enemy (Lk.10:19)

One of the enemies you must keep at bay in your sheepfold is sickness, disease and affliction. God did not send you to nurse sickness and diseases in your life and in the lives of your wife and children. God wants you to enjoy your wife and children to the fullest. God wants you and your wife and children to live in soundness of health, physically, mentally and emotionally (3Jn.1:2). But if for any reason, satan shows up with sickness and affliction, you have the power to cast them out.

 In Matthew chapter 10 and verse 8, the word of God says,

HEAL THE SICK, CLEANSE THE LEPERS, RAISE THE DEAD, CAST OUT DEVILS, FREELY YE HAVE RECEIVED, FREELY GIVE (Matt.10:8)  

Nothing enforces your headship at home and in the lives of your wife and children like demonstrating the healing power of Jesus in their lives. Hear this truth. As the good and godly husbandman and the priest over your wife and children, it is a mark of honour and a proof of your godly authority to be a channel through which God communicates healing to your wife and children.

Mark 16 and verses 17 and 18 is your open ticket to walk in that truth that you have the spirit of healing.

It says,

And these signs shall follow them that believe. In my name, they shall cast out devils, they shall speak with new tongues, they shall take up serpents and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them, THEY SHALL LAY HANDS ON THE SICK, and THE SICK SHALL RECOVER (Mk.16:17-18) 

You are a recovery agent to your wife and children. God has empowered you to command sickness and diseases to flee from your sheep and sheepfold. Act this healing authority by faith in God and His word. Lay hands on your sick wife or child and they will be healed.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from doubt, fear and ignorance.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me with the spirit of faith for healing exploits.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me with Your healing virtues and let it answer in our lives.

FAITH CONFESSION

I walk in the newness of life in Christ Jesus; I am a channel of God’s healing power to heal my wife and children of all sicknesses, diseases and affliction because that is my heritage as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
