SHOW THEM THE WAY AND BE THE WAY
Bible Texts: Matt.16:21, Jn.3:3-7, 2Cor.5:17, Jn.14:6, 2Tim.2:15, Jn.5:39, Jn.14:26, Jer.33:3, Jn.8:32, Jn.15:5, Philp.2:13, Lk.18:1, Mk.9:29
Did you know how to command faith from your wife and your children in you? Did you know how to command the greatest and most lasting influence in the lives of your wife and your children? Today, I want to show an example of the husbandman who was able to achieve both faith from His disciples and command lasting influence in their lives. His name is Jesus Christ, the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman.
From that time forth began Jesus to show unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes and be killed and be raised again on the third day (Matt.16:21)
Jesus Christ not only showed the way to the disciples, but He became the way by His actions. That is what God expects you to do and to become to your wife and your children.
But how do I become the way and show my wife and children, who are my disciples, the way to go?
You must first know the way by having a relationship with Jesus, the Way, the Truth and the Life and remaining in Him (Jn.15:5, Acts 3:6, 2Cor.5:17).
You must give attention to studying the word of God as a lifestyle to discover the way, the truth and the life of God (Jn.5:39, Lk.18:1, Jn.14:26, Gal.4:19, 2Tim.2:15). The more of God’s word you have in your spirit man, the better your ability to lead your life, the lives of your wife and your children in the way and admonition of the Lord (Jn.8:32).
God wants you to do so much with your life as the good shepherd to your wife and to your children. Go and be the good and godly leader God has called you to be in Christ.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, pour upon me the spirit of truth and revelation as I study Your word.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, reveal Your truth, Your ways and Your life to me by Your Spirit.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to live by the truth of Your word and make me to lead my wife and children in the way and life of Your word.
FAITH CONFESSION
I search the word of God to know the way, truth and life for my life, wife and children and by the word of God I show and lead them because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.

Please, pray this prayer of salvation in faith.
Lord, Jesus, I come to you today, just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
