Yesterday, we discovered from Scriptures that the knowledge of the truth, which is the Word of God, when applied, makes the husbandman the good and godly man, husband and father, and gives him stability spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally. Praise God!
Every husbandman, including you, wants to live well in his soul, spirit and body, and wants to live long, too. But there are secrets from the Word of God that guarantee this desire. And that is what we shall be exploring today.
Now, what are these secrets?
What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. Depart from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it (Ps.34:12-14)
The Word of God in Psalms 34 and verses 12 to 14 reveals the secrets to every husbandman who desires the good life, wants to live many days and see good.
The Word of God says if you want the good life, if you want to live many more years and see good, you must keep your tongue from speaking evil. This is because the power of life and death is in your tongue, and you will eat the fruits of your lips, whether good or evil (Pro.6:2, Jas.3:5, Pro.18:21-22). So, speak only the promises of God to your life and nothing else.
You must continue to do good to all people, beginning with your wife and your children. You must not allow revenge to override your goodness; rather, you must overcome evil with good (Rom.12:21).
You must seek peace, always, beginning in your home and between you and your wife or your children (Heb.12:14). As the ambassador of Christ, you are a peacemaker and not a crisis maker (2Cor.5:20, Matt.5:14-16).
You must depart from evil and evil deeds, no matter the attraction or benefit it offers (Ps.1:1-2, 1Thess.5:22). You must understand that all unrighteousness is sin, and the wages of sin death, both spiritually and physically.
The good life you desire is possible if you walk in the realities of God’s prescription in Psalms chapter 34 and verses 12 to 14.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, give me a teachable spirit to learn of Your way, Your truth and Your life.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the power of fear and endue me with the spirit of boldness and a sound mind.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me by Your Spirit to obey all You command me to do from Your Word.
FAITH CONFESSION
I obey all that the Word of God has commanded me to do in Psalms chapter 34 verses 12 to 14, diligently and delightsomely, because I want to live a good life, live well, and live long as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
