Over the past three (3) days, we discovered from the Word of God how you and I can become the good and godly man, husband, and father.
Today, I want to put in your hands the master key that will keep you on track on the path of the good and godly husbandman and also keep you growing into the full stature of Jesus Christ, the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman.
The master key that will make you grow into a good and godly husbandman, like Jesus Christ, is the Word of God.
As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby…(1Pet.2:1b)
The Word of God has the power to make you grow into the fullness of your calling as the good and godly husbandman. The Word of God empowers your thoughts, words and actions to be patterned after the image and likeness of Jesus. The more you study the Word of God, the more your life bears the fruit of the Spirit (Ezk.2:2. Gal.5:20-22).
But how will the Word of God make me grow and become the good and godly husbandman?
Forever O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven (Ps.119:89)
The Word of God contains enduring truth and principles of God that have been tested and proven to be true and beneficial. Everything else will change, but not the Word of God.
The word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path (Ps.119:105)
As the husbandman, the word of God gives you direction that will lead you to act, conduct yourself, and respond in ways that is pleasing to God.
For we all with an open face beholding as in a glass, the glory of the Lord are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord (2Cor.3:18)
The word of God has the power to change and transform your life from an irresponsible and ungodly husbandman to a good and godly man, husband and father.
The Bible presents to you and I the nature of Jesus Christ, the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman. Therefore, if you and I must be like Jesus to our wife and our children, and represent Him well in the marketplace, we must engage the Word of God with all our heart, by studying and thinking on the Word like the air we breathe.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the name of Jesus, have mercy upon me for not desiring Your Word.
- Father, in the name of Jesus, empower my life to grow by Your word.
- Father, in the name of Jesus, empower me to be like Jesus Christ in all things by Your Word.
FAITH CONFESSION
I desire the pure word of God, and I commit myself to obeying all that the Word of God commands because that is the pathway for me to become like Jesus Christ, making me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.

Lord, Jesus, I come to you today, just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
