Teach us to number my days that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom….. (Ps.90:12)
God wants you and I to apply our hearts to His instructions as we lead ourselves, our wife, and our children, because it is when we do what He commands that we can be said to be wise. So, it is not enough to know God’s instructions; it is very important to obey them. This means that each day, you and I must be committed to doing the perfect will of God as husbandmen.
But what must I do to apply my heart to the wisdom of God and make each day count for Jesus Christ?
And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lust (Rom. 13:11-14)
From the Scripture in Romans chapter 13, the Word of God mentions two things you must do every day if you must grow to become the good and godly husbandman.
You must walk in the Spirit and not after the flesh (Rom.13:11). You must lay aside your undisciplined lifestyles, drunkenness, lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, pride of life, strife, envy, and all forms of ungodliness.
You must continue to wear Jesus Christ in your thoughts, your conduct, action, responses, and reactions because you have the mind of Christ (Matt.5:14-16, 2Cor.5:17).
Therefore, keep loving Jesus and His Word, keep studying the Word of God, keep thinking on the Word of God, keep praying the Word of God into your life, and keep confessing what the Word says, and you will see yourself growing in the wisdom of God and making each day count for Jesus, your wife, your children, at home and in the marketplace.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, forgive me for my past failures, mistakes and errors.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, guide me through Your word as I study.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to make quality decisions that will please You every moment of my life.
FAITH CONFESSION
Today is a new day for me, and I am taking practical steps to obey all that God commands me to do because that is the pathway to becoming the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
