A QUALITY WALK WITH JESUS CHRIST

Bible Texts: Lk.12:20-21, Gen.3:1-4, 3Jn.1:2, Gen.17:1-3, Jer.29:11, Lk.18:1, Mk.9:29, 2Tim.2:15, Philp.2:13, Gal.4:19, Jn.15:2-5, Jn.14:26, Ps.24:1-2

But God said unto him, thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee, then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God (Lk.12:20-21)

As the husbandman, what is important to God is that you live a life pleasing to Him through Jesus Christ. God wants you to remain in Christ and become the light of Christ to your wife, your children, and your community.

But for you to have a quality relationship with God through Jesus Christ, you must first and foremost be born again by confessing your sins, repenting of them, and deciding not to return to sin (Jn.3:3-7).

You must make the Bible your trusted friend by studying it and meditating on what it says to you (Ps.1:1-3, Jn.5:39, Jn. 14:26, 2Tim. 2:15). This is because the Word of God gives you a picture of God’s nature and character.

You must pray the reality of what God has said in His word into your life (Gal.4:19, Phil.2:13, Lk.18:1, Mk.9:29, Jn.15:3-5). The Word of God is life everlasting and has the power to transform. When you engage the weapon of prayer and fasting, you can access the reality of God’s word manifesting in your life.

Being rich toward God means having a quality walk with Jesus Christ. It means doing what God commands you to do as a man, husband, and father. It is the pathway to a quality walk with God and proof of being a good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, forgive me for not giving You first place in my life.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to be rich towards You in all my thoughts and ways.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am rich toward God in all that I think, say and do because that is what defines my heritage as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
