Bible Texts: 2Tim.2:14-15, Jn.8:32-33, Rom.8:1, Eph.5:25-29, 1Pet.3:7-9, Matt.19:5, Rom.12:1-3, Eph.5:25, 1Cor.13:4-7, Rom.5:5, Philp.4:8, Eph.6:4, 1Pet.5:8,
Over the past week, I have had to deal with parental issues that reveal to me that the husbandman is losing his authority and leadership at the home front, hence the increasing cases of delinquent children. This is why today, I want to help every husbandman understand that being the good and godly leader must be intentional, relying on the knowledge from the Word of God.
Keep reminding God’s people of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about works. It is of no value and only ruins those who listen. Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth (2Tim. 2:14-15) NIV
As the husbandman, there is a relationship between leadership role and authority, and what strengthens that relationship is the knowledge of who you are, what you are ordained to do, and how you are to live according to the Word of the Lord. If you do not sharpen your leadership skills by the knowledge of God’s Word and take personal responsibility to put the Word of God to work, you will lose your influence as the good and godly man, husband, and father.
But how do I grow to become the husbandman of influence and authority?
You must remain in love with God and His Word and be committed to doing all that the Word commands you to do as the man, husband, and father (Josh. 24:15).
You must continue to engage with the Word of God and other anointed materials, for instance, books, tapes, to develop the capacity to lead, and the courage to speak and stand for what is right, good, and godly as the husbandman.
God has called you to lead from the front. God wants you to be a good and godly leader. God wants you to be a good and godly influence over the lives of your wife and your children. God wants you to be intentional about being the husbandman by allowing the Word of God to define and determine your conduct, decisions, actions and thoughts. This is what makes you the good and godly man, husband and father, combined.
Hallelujah!
