I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is good and perfect will of God (Rom.12:1-3)
Yesterday, we understood from the Scriptures that renewing our minds as husbandmen empowers our thoughts, actions, and conduct to do the perfect will of God toward our wife, our children, and in the marketplace. And the Word of God is what you and I need to keep renewing our minds so that our lives can reflect the image and likeness of Jesus Christ.
But why must I renew my mind with the Word of God, and how does it impact my life as the husbandman?
Renewing your mind with the Word of God empowers you to grow and develop into the full stature in Christ, doing the perfect will of God for your life (Rom.12:3)
Renewing your mind with the Word of God builds your spiritual sensitivity to discern tricks, suggestions, and advice from satan, sin, and the world, and by this discernment you can resist and rebuke satan and its devices (1Pet.5:8).
As the husbandman, your mind is the seat of decision. Your life as the man, husband, and father cannot be better than the quality of your thoughts, because as a man thinks in his heart so is he. Therefore, you must guard your heart by feeding it with the Word of God in order to guide your thoughts, actions, and conduct, thereby making you live a profitable life as the good and godly man, husband, and father, bringing glory to Jesus Christ our Saviour (Matt.5:14-16).

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to renew my thoughts by Your word and make them conform to Your will.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to overcome evil with good.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, and by Your word make my life to count positively as the good and godly man, husband, and father.
FAITH CONFESSION
I take captive my thoughts and bring them under the authority of the will and plan of God by renewing them by the word of God, because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus’ name. Amen.
