PRAYING ALWAYS

Bible Texts: Lk.18:1, Jn.10:10, Eph.6:18, Rom.12:12, Philp.2:13, 1Thess.5:17-19, Mk.9:29, Gal.4:19, Matt.7:7, Jer.33:3, Jas.1:5

The greatest weapon the husbandman has that can give him stability, hope, faith and courage to triumph over the works of satan, sin, and challenges of life is prayer. Not just praying, but praying effectual, faith-filled, fervent prayer as a lifestyle. This is what Jesus is saying to you this morning.

And he (Jesus Christ) spake a parable unto them to this end, THAT MEN OUGHT ALWAYS TO PRAY, AND NOT FAINT (Lk.18:1)

Jesus says that if you and I must not faint in the day challenges throw themselves at us, we must pray always. This demands that we keep and maintain an uninterrupted communication with God, through Jesus Christ and the Person of the Holy Spirit, because that is what keeps us on course inspite of the storms of life.

As the husbandman, you must not see praying always, that is, continued and open communication with your heavenly Father, as an option. You must also not see praying as a touch-and-go prescription. Rather, you must see praying as the real deal. Praying always is maintaining an unhindered conversation with God through Jesus Christ.

Therefore, pray always. Maintain consistent communication with God. Talk to Jesus always. Sustain your relationship with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit always.  It is your anchor that keeps you stable in times of storm.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, rekindle my prayer life by Your Spirit and breathe fresh life into me.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, teach me how to pray and let me pray according to Your will always.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the spirit of weariness.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am given myself continually to prayers, and I will not faint in my prayer life because that is what sustains me as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus’ name. Amen.
