There once was a man named Job who lived in the land of Uz. He was blameless- a man of complete integrity. He feared God and stayed away from evil. He had seven sons and three daughters. He owned 7,000 sheep, 3,000 camels, 500 teams of oxen, and 500 female donkeys. He also had many servants. He was, in fact the richest person in that entire area (Job 1:1-3) NLT
Yesterday, we began by studying the life of a husbandman named Job, who was blameless and walked in complete integrity. We also learned that God wants every husbandman to walk blameless, be a blessing to his wife and children, and be a vessel of honor in the marketplace.
I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that the grace of God to walk in complete integrity be granted to us. Amen.
But how do I become the husbandman of complete integrity so God can testify about me as He did for Job?
As the husbandman, you must have and maintain a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ by repenting of your sinful life and accepting Jesus as your Lord and Personal Saviour (Jn.3:4-8).
You must continue to give attention to the study and meditation of the Word of God as a lifestyle, because the more you study and meditate on the Word of God, the more you manifest His nature and character (Jn.5:39, 2Tim.2:15, Ps.1:1).
You must identify with and join a Bible-believing Church where the Word of God is taught with passion and power (Ps.133:1). There is strength and renewal in Zion.
You must keep engaging the weapons of prayer, fasting, and faith in God and His Word (Mk.9:29, Lk.18:1, Heb.11:6).
You must walk with good and godly company because relationships matter; good associations positively impact your life, while bad relationships you entangle yourself in will corrupt your life (1Cor. 15:33-34).
You are a shining light and an ambassador of Christ in your home and on earth. Therefore, do not allow the temporary benefits of iniquity to quench the blessings of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Walk in the fear and admonition of the Lord, for that is what makes you the good and godly husbandman.
Let God testify of you as He did for Job. Hallelujah!
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to walk in the fear of the Lord in everything I do.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the power of ungodly influences and relationships.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, make me the good and godly example.
FAITH CONFESSION
I have the life of Christ in me, and I walk in the fear and admonition of God in all that I do because God ordains me to be the man, husband, and father of complete integrity in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Prayer of Salvation/Rededication
Now that you have read the devotional, you need to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ (1Tim.2:4). It is the first step in your walk of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Please, pray this prayer of salvation in faith.
Lord Jesus, I come to you today just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
