Let us take the thirtieth capsule.

Capsule 30: ACCEPTABLE SACRIFICE IS THE PATHFINDER TO GENERATIONAL BLESSING

And they came to the place which God had told him of and Abraham built an altar there and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar upon the wood. (Gen22:9)

As we conclude on this 30-day therapy, I want to encourage you to go through them again until the truth from the word of God gains root in your heart and bears fruits in your life. I also want you to document your experiences and encounters. Where it is possible, you can share them with other men, husbands and fathers in your sphere of influence so that together, we can light up our sheep and sheepfold for Jesus Christ and through our lives and the lives of our sheep, make all the positive changes in the marketplace.

Today’s message is about Abraham, the husband of Sarah. After waiting for 25 years for a child with Sarah, God demanded something very dear to his heart. God asked Abraham to offer his son, Isaac, as a sacrifice. Isaac was very special to Abraham, but he chose to obey God. He took his pride, Isaac, to the mountain to sacrifice. And just when he was about to put the knife through Isaac’s throat, God spoke from heaven and entered an everlasting covenant with him and his generations.

This is the lesson for you and me as shepherds in our sheepfold. As husbandmen, there is nothing that can be compared to God. It is our obedience to God and His word in the exercise of our duties as godly men, husbands and fathers that matters to God. If we say we love God, then we will obey His commandments rather than our feelings. So, what is that area of your life that God’s word has not influenced? What is that thing that you are holding unto that you are not willing to let go? What is the area of your life that you are unwilling to sacrifice? What is that habit that you are not ready to forgo? You must make up your mind today and let go every ungodly habit that may be given temporary pleasure but leading you to eternal damnation.  You must take your pride and ego to the altar of Jesus Christ and lay it at His feet. Whatever is becoming a god to you in your life that wants to take the place of Jesus in your life must be dropped today. God wants more of you. God wants to take His rightful place in your life so that He can empower you to live as the godly man, husband and father to your wife and children. He wants to enter an everlasting covenant of peace, prosperity and protection with you. You must make your life acceptable to Him.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, have mercy upon me for being selfish.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to lay down my all and obey You in all area of my life.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, let my life be a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable.

FAITH CONFESSION

I lay down at the feet of Jesus, self, ungodly habits and attitudes, so that He can manifest Himself in my life because that is what I need to become the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
