THE KING AND HIS KINGDOM (2)

Bible Text: Mk.6:23-27, Eph.5:25, Eph.6:4, Ps.89:34-35

I believe you have been blessed by the teaching on the king and kingdom that started yesterday. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that the light of the word will gain root in your heart and bear fruits in your life. And above all, that through this truth, you will do exploits as the good and godly man, husband and father to the glory of God and the blessing of your wife, children and the market place of life.

What is the lesson the Person of the Holy Spirit wants you and I to learn from the knowledge of the king and his kingdom? This is the lesson. You are a king, you operate in a kingdom-your home and your subjects are your wife and children. Your word is your bond. See what the scripture says of God, who is the King of kings. My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. Once I have sworn by holiness that I will not lie unto David (Ps.89:34-35). What were the promises you made to your wife when you lawfully married her before God and man? God says, fulfil it.

Have you made promises to your children that you will nurture them in the way and admonition of the Lord Jesus (Eph.6:4)? Fulfil it. You must not join the world to compromise on the truth of God’s word. You must be that light that shines in darkness (Jn.1:5).

You have promised to love and care for your wife on the day you took her in as your wife; be committed to doing just that (Eph.5:25). You have promised to train your children and model them after righteousness. Make it happen (Eph.6:4). That is what makes you the good and godly king. If your heavenly Father has kept and fulfilled His promises to you, you have the power to keep and fulfil yours to your wife and children.

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, make me financially prosperous in 2022 (Deut.8:18)
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, prosper my family and the works of our hands this year (Ps.1:3)
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, destroy the power of poverty, shame, struggle, reproach and emptiness in our lives in 2022 (Jos.5:9)
