BREAKAWAY AND MOVE ON

When we were at Mount Sinai, the Lord our God said to us, you have stayed at this mountain long enough. It is time to break camp and move on. Go to the hill country of the Amorites and to all the neighbouring regions -the Jordan valley, the hill country, the western foothills, the Negev and the coastal plain. Go to the land of the Canaanites and to Lebanon and all the way to the great Euphrates river (Deut.1:6-7) NLT

I want the above Scripture in Deuteronomy chapter 1 and verse 7 to challenge and motivate you to take practical steps to break away from ungodly relationships and habits and move onto righteousness. You must understand that the word of the Lord is given to inspire, admonish, correct and assure the husbandman in his walk as good and godly shepherd.

The people in Israel had stayed too long on one spot with no evidence of progress or improvement. And God said to these words to them. You have stayed at this mountain long enough. It is time to break camp and move on (Deut.1:6a). Until the people broke away, they did not possess their possessions. That is what the Person of the Holy Spirit is saying to you. The Spirit of God is saying to you, “break away from ungodly camps and move on in righteousness”.

As the husbandman, you must understand that you cannot become the good and godly leader to your wife and children as well as other husbandmen until you break away from certain associations and influences that seem to make you disobey God. You must break away from the camp of husbandmen or friends that treat sin or unrighteousness lightly, whether it is physically and emotionally abusing the wife and children or running the family fold after the rules of this world. In 1^st John chapter 5 and verse 17, the Bible says this. All unrighteousness is sin (1Jn.5:17). These are the camp you must break-away from (1Cor.15:33). You must also know that the more you stay closer to these unrighteous camps and relationships that do not reflect the nature of Jesus Christ, the farther away you will be from God and from your wife and children and become a bad example to other husbandmen.

But how do I break away from ungodly influences and move forward gloriously in my leadership role as the good and godly husbandman? The first step is to recognise that you need help from God. For I will look up to the hills from thence my help comes (Ps.121:1). Only God can help you make the firm decision to break away from ungodliness and move onto righteousness (Philp.2:13).The second step is to ask the Lord to help you through the weapon of prayer and fasting (Matt.7:7, Mk.9:29). The third step is to determine in your heart, through the help of the Person of the Holy Spirit, that you will never defile yourself (Dan.1:8). Fourthly, you must cut-off anything that links you with your old life (Is.43:18). And finally be righteousness-conscious rather than sin conscious (2Cor.5:17).

God has a great plan for your headship. Make it count for God, yourself, your wife, your children and in the marketplace.

 SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to break away from ungodly relationships and camps.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to make progress in my leadership function as the good and godly husbandman.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, strengthen my heart and let it stand for righteousness.

FAITH CONFESSION

I break away from ungodly camps and realign my life to those who walk in the fear of the Lord because that is what will inspire me to become the good and godly husbandman in Jesus Name. Amen.

Halleluyah!!! To the glory of God, today is the last day in the 70days of fasting with prayers. It has been a season of spiritual empowerment towards establishing us in our calling as the husbandman. May the impact be eternal in each life in Jesus name. Amen.

With the end of this fast, The Husbandman Mission International (The Mission) year 2023 commences tomorrow Sunday the 26^th February 2023. Other announcements shall be communicated to us.
