Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled (Matt.5:6)
There is a desire that God wants you to have, continually, as the good and godly husbandman. God wants you to hunger and thirst after righteousness. God wants you to do what is right in accordance with the Word of God. This requires that each day that you wake up, you must be willing to do what the Word of God says, either as you relate with others, in your place of work, in your business, or in the marketplace.
Hearken to me, ye that FOLLOW AFTER RIGHTEOUSNESS, ye that seek the Lord, look unto the rock whence ye are hewn and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged. Look unto Abraham your father and unto Sarah that bare you…….(Is.51:1-2)
The Scripture in Isaiah chapter 51, verses 1 and 2, provides an example of the husbandman, Abraham, who was righteous (Gen.17:1-2). Abraham walked before God and pursued the things that pleased God. As the seed of Abraham, God wants you to walk in holiness and righteousness.
But how do I hunger and thirst after what is right?
Ye must be born again (Jn.3:7)
You must have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ by confessing your sins, repenting of them and accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal saviour.
If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things have passed away, behold all things have become new (2Cor.5:17)
You must also be intentional in walking with God, through Jesus Christ, by ensuring that your thoughts, words, actions, and conduct bring glory to Jesus Christ everywhere you go and in whatever endeavour you find yourself (Matt.5:14-16).
You must continue to give attention to the study and meditation of the word of God, and allow the word of God to take first place in your mind (Rom.12:2).
As the good and godly husbandman, pursuing after what is right according to the Word of God is profitable to you. It is your pathway to a life of peace, joy, and eternal life. It also guarantees your physical and mental well-being.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, wash me clean from all form of filthiness and unrighteousness.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to obey all Your commandments, joyfully.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, pour upon me the spirit of holiness and empower me to walk in truth and righteousness.
FAITH CONFESSION
I seek after and do what is right as commanded by the word of at all times because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
