BUILDING YOUR LIFE AND HOME ON JESUS CHRIST

DAY 51 of FASTING AND PRAYER

Bible Texts: Matt.16:18, Jn.10:29, Mk.9:29, Jn.10:9, 2Cor.5:17, Jn.15:3-5, Pro.4:20-22, Ps.1:1-3, Jn.5:39, Rom.5:5, 2Tim.2:15, Jos.1:6-8, Ps.1:1-3

As the husbandman, you are the good and godly shepherd. This means that you have the covenant responsibility to build and lead in your home front. This is because everything rises and falls on you as the leader and you will account to God for what you did or did not do as the shepherd.

But for you to be able to build your life and home on a good and godly foundation, you must build it on Jesus Christ because Jesus is the good and godly husbandman who gives life in abundance.

The thief cometh but to steal, to kill and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly……..(Jn.10:10)

There is a fierce battle against the husbandman. Satan, sin and the world are fighting to destroy the husbandman and this has resulted in so many husbandmen living a confused and struggling life, unable to fulfill God’s mandate for their lives as good and godly shepherds. But by the word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, you can overcome the onslaught of the adversary. And that is why God wants you to build your life and your home on the unshakable foundation of Jesus Christ and His word.

And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (Matt.16:18)

Building your position and home on Jesus Christ and His word is the only security you have against the attacks of satan, sin and the world. The word of God does not only build, it also protects and sustains. The word of God also repels the arrows of the enemy shot at you or your sheep. The word of God provides a covering over and against ungodly influences. That is the power in the word of God.

You must also continue to engage the forces of prayer and fasting as your lifestyle because that is what empowers the word of God to make the impact you want in your life as the man, husband and father (Mk.9:29).

As the good and godly husbandman, you must take your leadership position very seriously because it is a calling from God and it is the greatest opportunity God has provided for you to lead.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to receive Your engrafted word into my spirit and help me to build my life and home in Jesus and His word.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the power of sin and the flesh.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, let the words of Christ teach my hands to war and lead me in the way I should go.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am building my life and home on Jesus Christ and the word of God because that is the foundation for my success as the good and godly man, husband and father in Jesus name. Amen.

Please, pray this prayer in faith.

Lord, Jesus, I come to you today, just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
