One of the greatest challenges the husbandman faces is how to lead himself, his wife, and his children in the way and admonition of the Lord Jesus Christ. The challenges and issues that will discourage him are real. Nevertheless, God still wants the husbandman to do all he needs to do as the man, husband, and father by faith (Heb.11:1-2). Faith in God and in His Word is the weapon God has given to the husbandman to contend and win over the battles of life (Heb.11:33).
But how does the husbandman develop this God-kind of faith that delivers for victory?
The husbandman must have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ (Jn.3:3-7). Salvation is a spiritual decision the husbandman must make. You have not seen God or Jesus Christ physically, but you believe Jesus Christ exists, and you are willing to repent of your sins and accept Him into your life as your Lord and personal Saviour. That is faith!
The husbandman must continue to feed his spirit man with the Word of God because the Word of God is a seed that births faith (Philp.3:10). The more of the Word intake, the more he knows the capability of God and the stronger his confidence in the ability of God to perform His Word (Jos.1:6-8, Ezk.2:2).
The husbandman must continue to fellowship with the Person of the Holy Spirit to enjoy revelation of the truth of God’s Word (Jn.14:26, Gal.2:2). One of the ministries of the Person of the Holy Spirit is to reveal the power behind the Word of God, and this is what empowers the husbandman for supernatural faith
The husbandman must keep speaking the language of the Spirit, that is, speaking in tongues(1Cor.14:12). There are negative and unpleasant happenings around your life and in your relationship with your wife and your children that you cannot explain. Switch to speaking in tongues and watch the power of God manifest itself to reveal the root cause, give you direction, and empower you to resolve the challenges.
God wants the husbandman to do everything by faith in God and in His Word. God wants the husbandman to be ruled by the Word of God, not by his feelings or circumstances. This is the way to become the good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the power of doubt, fear and discouragement.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me with the spirit of faith.
- to lead my wife and children by faith and not by sight.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to walk by faith and not by sight as I lead.
FAITH CONFESSION
I am baptized with the spirit of faith, and I walk by faith and not by sight in all that I do and over the circumstances of life, because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus’ name. Amen.
