Have you ever wondered why God made you the head and a leader at home? Did you know where the true test of your good and godly leadership begins? These are questions the Bible is going to provide answers to so that you can reposition yourself and take responsibility to influence your home, your wife, and your children for Jesus.
One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity (1Tim.3:4)
The Word of God says that the true test of your leadership is in your home. The evidence that you are a good and godly influence over your children begins at home (Eph.6:4). This is the reason why God wants you to rule your home well by using His principles and rules. God doesn’t want you to rule your home by the rudiments, standards, or systems of this world.
As the good and godly husbandman, if you lead your wife, your children, and your home by the Word of God, the result will show in the peace and strength of unity in your home, and the bond of friendship between you and your wife and your children. If you lead your home by the Word of God, it will also show in the good and godly character that your wife and your children will display in the marketplace.
You must remember that God made you the head and gave you a home by giving you a wife and blessing you with children. So, wisdom demands that you seek God’s wisdom to be able to lead the home and people He gave you; otherwise, you will struggle and fail as the leader.
The Word of God is the perfect template you require to lead your home. Why? It is because the Word of God contains good and godly principles, instructions, and directions that can empower you to lead your home excellently. Therefore, you must always seek the Word of God to know what to do to lead at home as God commands.
Please know that the perfect will of God for you is to lead your home as excellently as Jesus Christ led the 12 disciples while He walked on earth. And because you have the life of Christ in you, you can be an excellent, faithful, committed, good, and godly leader at home.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, forgive me for being an ungodly example of Your kingdom to my wife and my children and in the marketplace.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, reveal more of Yourself to me through Jesus Christ and by Your word.
- Father, in the name of Jesus, empower me to be the good and godly example of the husbandman in words and in deeds at home.
FAITH CONFESSION
I have received power from God to be like Jesus Christ in all that I think, do and say because that is what qualifies me to be called the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
