HOW TO DELIVER ON YOUR AUTHORITY (5)

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Ps.89:5-7

More Scriptures: 2Cor.5:17, Matt.17:24-27, Roms.10:10

Peter came to Jesus and complained about the pressure the tax authority was putting on them. And rather Jesus leaving them to their fate, He stepped in to protect them from the people. He said to them go to the river, and catch a fish, and when you catch the fish, open the mouth of the fish and you will see a coin. Go and pay (Matt.17:24-27).

There are so many ways your wife and children are being pressured or attacked. You must rise up to their defense and help them.

But for you to exercise this God kind of authority that gives comfort and rest to your sheep, you must of necessity do these things consistently. The first is that you must have a healthy and robust relationship with Jesus Christ, our Saviour. What this means is that you must not only be born again, you must make Him your Lord, that is your owner. The Scripture has this to say concerning that. If any man be in Christ……….. (2Cor.5:17). You must understand that to be in Christ means that it is no longer you that lives but Christ that lives in you and through you. And to that extent, your conduct, your words, your actions, your will, your emotions and your plans reflect what Jesus would do. The second action step you must take is to pray intensely for the continued flow of the Spirit of faith because without the Spirit of faith at work in you on a continued basis and on an increasing level, you may not fully take charge. Through faith they subdued nations…(Heb.11:33). And this happens when you are baptized with the Spirit of faith…(2Cor.4:13)……by the Holy Ghost. The third is for you to engage your mouth and declare only the counsel of God concerning your sheep and sheepfold. For with the heart man believes and the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Roms.10:10). And as you take these steps, you will become that shepherd that your sheep will be grateful to God that they have. And God, even your God will bless you (Ps.1:1-3)

FAITH CONFESSION

I have power with God and through it I protect and defend my sheep from all form of assaults and pressure because that is what makes me the good and godly husband in Jesus Name. Amen.
