CALL TO SERVICE!

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Lk.22:26-27, Gen.2:14-16, Jn.10:14, Is.40:11, Heb.13:20, Rom.9:16, Ecc.9:11, Eph.5:25-29, Eph.6:4, 1Tim.5:8, Deut.6:7, 1Pet.3:7, Gal.4:19, Gen.18:19, 2Tim.2:15, Hos.4:6

As the husbandman, the proof of your true headship and leadership in the home is service. That is the template Jesus, the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman, gives.

But ye shall not be so, but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger, and he that is chief, as he that doth serve. For who is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? Is not he that sitteth at meat? But I am among you as HE THAT SERVETH (Lk.22:26-27)

Jesus said that He is among the disciples to serve them. He served their best interests. He was a servant-leader. That is exactly what Jesus wants you to become to your wife and your children-serve them with all your heart, soul, and body.

As the good and godly husbandman, you are the true ambassador of Christ. You are a servant, ministering to the spiritual, physical, emotional, financial, mental, material, and social needs of your wife and your children. (Eph.5:25-29, Eph.6:4, 1Tim.5:8, Deut.6:7, 1Pet.3:7, Gal.4:19, Gen.18:19).

You are not in the lives of your wife and your children to manipulate, control, and abuse them. Instead, you are in their lives to always serve their best interests because it is the pathway of honour for you. So, be a true servant!

You must remember that serving the best interests of your wife and your children does not reduce your value as the good and godly husbandman.

Therefore, your greatness as the man, husband and father is built on the foundation of true service, and it is the pathway to a life of honour, dignity and respect (2Tim.2:6). Your service to God, to your wife and to your children is what makes you the good and godly husbandman.

Hallelujah!
