There is a vital weapon of warfare God has given to every husbandman as he leads himself, his wife, and his children. What is that weapon, and how powerful is it? It is prayer!
Wherefore, my beloved, as all of you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For IT IS GOD WHICH WORKETH IN YOU BOTH TO WILL AND TO DO OF HIS GOOD PLEASURE. Do all things without murmurings and disputings (Philippians 2:12-14)
The Word of God says that it is God who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure, as the husbandman. But how does the husbandman access empowerment to do God’s perfect will? It is through the weapon of prayer.
Many husbandmen have left the place of prayer for their wives and children. Many are depending on their wives to pray. And many more are proud to say that their wives are prayerful, whereas they, the husbands, have abandoned their prayer altar. That is your weakest link. You must rise like Jesus Christ did when He walked the earth, and lead in prayer.
As the husbandman, you cannot do the perfect will of God and please Him if you do not connect to God in prayer for help and grace. Prayer is an indispensable weapon to access the presence of God, where help is found, and deliverance is sure. Without the empowerment of God through the Person of the Holy Spirit, you will struggle to fulfill God’s plan for your life as the husbandman (Zech.4:6, Jn.15:5). That is how powerful prayer is to you (Lev.6:9, Mk.9:29, Acts 2:1-4, Jer.33:3).
You must keep engaging the prayer altar for empowerment to perform. You must continue engaging with the Word of God to discover the mind of Christ for you, and keep pressing in prayer to make it happen and sustainable, too.
The good and godly change and growth you desire to see manifest in your life as the husbandman is possible. You can do the perfect will of God as the man, husband, and father. You can please God with your life and become His shining light in the lives of your wife and your children and in the marketplace. But you must commit to praying to God for empowerment to become all that God wants you to be.
Therefore, prayer is not an alternative; it is a choice you must make today if you want to be and remain the good and godly husbandman (1Sam.2:9).

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, pour on me the spirit of grace and supplication for an effectual prayer life.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to continue to connect to Your power to do Your perfect will.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, help me to keep pressing on in prayers until I see the changes from Your word happen in my life.
FAITH CONFESSION
I continue to stand in prayer, praying for the perfect will of God’s to be done in my life and doing those things that please Him because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
