Bible Texts: Jer.1:10-12, Ps.118:8, Gen.1:2-3, Rom.5:5, Jn.10:10, Gen.12:1-3, Gal.4:19, Gal.2:13, Lk.18:1, Col.3:19, Eph.6:4, Ps.23:1, 1Tim.5:8, 2Tim.2:15, Jos.1:6-8
I was in church two Sundays ago when the Pastor was teaching from Jeremiah chapter 1 and verse 10. Suddenly, new light shone from that Scripture, and that is what I want to share with every husbandman today.
Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying Jeremiah, WHAT SEEST THOU? And I said I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the Lord unto me, thou hast well seen for I will hasten my word to perform it. (Jer.1:11-12) KJV
What you see is what the elements of nature and God confirm. Between verses 10 and 14, Jeremiah saw twice. He saw an almond tree, and the second time he saw something different. And on both occasions, what he saw became a reality.
As the good and godly husbandman, what do you see about your life as the man, husband and father? What do you see about your wife and your children? What do you see about your family and your home? If you see what God is saying from His word about your life as the husbandman, and about your wife, your children and your home, He will hasten His word to perform.
Seeing what God is saying will empower you to overcome every form of temptation to commit evil, live an unrighteous life, contemplate divorce, harbour bitterness, walk in unforgiveness, hold hatred and malice against your wife and your children. Rather, you will overcome these evil forces with the goodness of God (Rom.12:21).
What you see from the word of God gives meaning and value to your existence as the husbandman. What you see motivates you to remain steadfast, notwithstanding the opposition and challenges. What you see keeps you on the path of the good and godly husbandman.
Your wife is not the challenge. Your children are not, either. It is what you see about them that is the problem. If you can see them in the light of God’s Word, you will enjoy them. If you can see your life in the light of God’s Word, you will enjoy peace, progress and dominion.
Hallelujah!
