BE SPIRITUAL!!! (2)

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Gen.1:26-28, Gen.3:1-5, Rom.8:5-6, 2Cor.5:17, Rom.6:1, Ps.24:1, Gal.6:8, 1Cor.2:14, Jn.3:6, Jn.4:24

Yesterday, we discovered from Scriptures what it means for the husbandman to be spiritual. Today, let us understand an important result that the husbandman enjoys when he lives a spiritual life.

For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh, but they that are after the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be CARNALLY minded is death, but to be SPIRITUALLY minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God, for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So, then they that are in the flesh cannot please God (Rom.8:5-8)

The Word of God says that allowing the Word of God to always influence your thoughts, words, actions, conduct, and decisions leads to life and peace. Praise God! This is why God wants you to be spiritually minded.

But, how does spirituality bring life and peace to the husbandman?

The husbandman is not afraid of accusations because he knows he has done God’s perfect will as the good and godly man, husband, and father.

He builds spiritual sensitivity that helps him to discern what is right from what is wrong. And because of the ability to discern, he takes good and godly decisions that will glorify God and bring joy to him as the man, husband and father.

As the husbandman, you must take personal responsibility to revive your spiritual life. You must ask the Person of the Holy Spirit to help you remain in Christ and in His Word so your decisions, actions and conduct will continue to be influenced by the Word of God.

Now is the time for you to awake unto righteousness. Now is the time to decide to allow the Word of God to be the determinant of your life’s actions. Now is the time to be spiritual because being spiritually minded is your access to life and peace as the good and godly husbandman.

Hallelujah!

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to live by Your Spirit and walk in the newness of life.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, destroy every form of carnality in my life.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, restore to me the joy of my salvation.

 FAITH CONFESSION

I give myself to the spiritual demands of prayer, word study, fasting, and fellowship with God, because that is what helps me to walk in the newness of life in Christ and empowers me to be spiritually minded as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
