As the husbandman, God wants you to walk in authority and power over satan, sin, and the world. This is because many adversaries work day and night to ensure you do not live the life God wants you to live as a good and godly man, husband, and father.
But how do I exercise divine authority?
Keep reminding God’s people of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about works. It is of no value and only ruins those who listen. Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth (2Tim.2:14-15) NIV
For you to exercise divine authority, you must keep increasing in the knowledge of God for your life as the man, husband, and father. You must keep reminding yourself of the Word of God; otherwise, your life will be ineffective, like a blunt knife.
The authority and power to live as the good and godly husbandman is by the Word of God. As you give yourself to prayer and to the ministry of the Word, you are empowered to become a vessel of honour to your wife, your children, and in the marketplace.
And you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free (Jn.8:32-33)
You can be free from those ungodly habits, conduct and misbehaviour that have become your identity and makes you unfit to be called the good and godly husbandman by the Spirit of the truth of God’s Word (Ezk.2:2). The more you know the word of God for your life, and you keep meditating on it and commit to doing all that it commands you to do, the more you become a fruitful vine to God and to your family.
Therefore, keep sharpening your sword of authority and power with the knowledge of the Word of God. It is the power in the Word of God that confers on you divine authority to function in the fullness of God’s divine plans for your life as the good and godly man, husband and father.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from spiritual complacency.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, baptize me with the spirit of grace and supplication.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, let the zeal of Your word consume me intensely.
FAITH CONFESSION
I am baptized with the spirit of grace and supplication, and the zeal of the Lord has consumed me, helping me to know more and more about God’s commandments for me as the man, husband, and father because that is what sharpens my saw of authority as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
Prayer of Salvation/Rededication
Now that you have read the devotional, you need to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ (1Tim.2:4). It is the first step in your walk of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Please, pray this prayer of salvation in faith.
Lord Jesus, I come to you today just as I am. I acknowledge that I have fallen short of Your glory. I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins today. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my life.
