OPERATING THE PRIESTLY OFFICE

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Num.6:22-27, Heb.7:5, 1Pet.2:9, Heb.8:3, 1Tim.3:1-5, Gen.18:19, Deut.6:1-9, gen.12:2, Deut.6:22-27, 1Cor.13:4-9, Col.3:19

Praise God for today and for how far we have come in the month of September 2026. To God alone we give all the glory.

Today, I want to expose the husbandman to another dimension of his identity in Christ.

The husbandman is a Levite. But who is a Levite? A Levite is a priest. He occupies the priestly office. He is a distinct class of personality with the rare privilege of executing the priestly functions. Now, that is who you are.

You must understand that as the good and godly husbandman, there are levels of authority that God wants you to operate. There is the authority of a pastor (1Tim.3:1-5, Gen.18:19, Deut.6:1-9). There is the authority of a prophet (Gen.12:2), and there is the authority of a priest (Num.6:22-27). Each level of this spiritual office comes with its blessings.

Today, let us consider how you function in the priestly office as a Levite. As the priest over your wife and your children, you stand in the gap for them in prayers and intercession, declaring the perfect will of God for their lives. You also connect them to their glorious destinies by the pronunciations and declarations that you make over them.

This is why you must believe the Word of God and declare its promises in faith over the lives of your wife and your children. And one Scripture you can always use as a Levite in your pronouncement over your wife and children is Numbers chapter 6 and verses 22 through to 27.

But you must realize that the impact of your priestly declaration over your wife and your children cannot make any meaningful impact if it is not done in love; hence, you must deal with the forces of unforgiveness, bitterness and revenge.

God has made you a priest in your home, and over the lives of your wife and your children. Keep upholding them in prayers, keep interceding for them, and keep declaring the counsel of God over their lives, because that is what makes you the good and godly husbandman.

Hallelujah!

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to occupy the priestly office and function effectively.
  • Father in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the filthiness of the flesh and make me to walk in love.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, confirm every declaration I made from Your Word over the lives of my wife and children with evidence.

FAITH CONFESSION

I function in the office of the priest for the benefit of my wife and children, because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
