Let us take the nineteenth capsule.

Capsule 19: THE BLESSEDNESS OF ANY CHILD IS ROOTED IN THE BLESSEDNESS OF HIS OR HER FATHER.

And the woman bare a son, and called his name Samson, and the child grew and the Lord blessed him. (Jdgs.13:24)

I have come to discover from Scriptures that the father of a child has a far more significant role to play in the making of that child than anyone else.  I have also realized that the blessing of the father has greater impact on the lives of his children than anyone. And to that extent, the father must take personal responsibility to admonish and nurture his children in the way of the Lord and not the world.

Now, when the Scripture says that a child is blessed, it means that the child is empowered. This means that there is a supernatural force that works in and through that child (ren) to enjoy good speed in every area of life and to succeed, triumph and excel in their endeavours. And it is your privilege to be that channel through which God wants to empower your child (ren). As the godly shepherd, you must understand that your children are arrows in your hands. They are not just ordinary seed. They are the linkages between you and your future. Their capacity and ability to reign and rule in the midst of their enemies is rooted in the empowerment of God. By the grace of God and to glory of Jesus Christ, my Saviour, my children are empowered, and it reflects in the successes and ease in their spiritual life, academics and social life. By the grace of God, I have been enjoying them. But how did I do this? I did this by asking the Lord Jesus Christ to bless me (empower) in every area of my life so that I can also empower them. I anoint my head regularly for divine wisdom and my hands to do exploits. I also anoint my feet for speed of accomplishment. I also anoint my children the same way I anoint myself. In addition to this, I ensure that the first words that come out of my mouth each day to them is, “you are blessed”.

So, I want you to engage the power of prayer and the word of God. Ask the Lord to empower you spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically and financially and in all areas of your life. Pray to God, through His Son, Jesus Christ, for divine enablement to succeed in all that you do so that the anointing in you will flow to your sheep. It is like the precious ointment upon the head (you), that ran down upon the beard (wife), even Aaron’s beard, that went down to the skirts (children) of his garments (Ps.133:2). You must activate the anointing of God in your life as the priest and prophet over your wife and children and empower them by it because that is what makes you the good and godly shepherd to your wife and children and establishes them as the seed whom the Lord has blessed (Is.61:9)

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to succeed in all areas of my life.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, I empower my sheep for all round success.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, honour Your words in my mouth which I pronounce on my sheep.

FAITH CONFESSION

I have been empowered by God so that I can empower my wife and children for continuous victorious living because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
