But I would have know, that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is the man, and the head of the Christ is God (1Cor.11:3)

Praise God!

Just after having a good time with my heavenly Father in prayer this morning, the Person of the Holy Spirit asked that I continue from yesterday’s teaching about submission of the husbandman to a higher authority-Jesus Christ. And the Holy Spirit reminded me that any husbandman who wants his wife and his children to submit to his leadership must learn how to also submit himself to a higher leader-Jesus Christ, the head of the man.

As the good and godly husbandman, you must recognize that your wife and your children are motivated to do what they see you do, rather than what they hear you say. Your life as an example of submission to Jesus Christ as your leader in truth and in deed, which they can see and testify to, is more powerful than a lifetime of sermons.

As the good and godly husbandman, you must also understand that God has called you to influence your wife and your children unto goodness and godliness (Matt.5:14-16, Eph.6:4, Col.3:19). So, the best way you can influence them to listen to you, obey you and do as you instruct them is for your life to reflect the life of Christ, Who submitted Himself to the leadership of God.

Therefore, stop announcing to your wife that you are her head. You don’t need it. She also doesn’t need you to say it to her. The Word of God has already said so (Gen.3:16, Eph.5:23). Stop demanding submission from your wife or your children to your leadership at home. Rather, start demonstrating to them that you have a leader in Jesus by your conduct, doing what Christ commands you to do from His Word as the man, husband and father. You will be amazed at how quickly you will earn their followership, respect, submission, and honour from your wife and children.

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, I surrender my will, emotions, and my body to You.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, I give You my life, my soul and my thoughts as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, please let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to You.

FAITH CONFESSION

I consciously and willingly declare You, Jesus Christ, as the Lord over my life because that is the gateway for me to become the good and godly influence over my wife and children and in the marketplace as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus’ name. Amen.
