Leave a CommentOne of the worst things you can do to your wife and children is to abandon them when they need you most. Honestly, it leaves a negative lasting impact on them and a bitter taste in their mouth. It also creates a distance between you and them. And this is why Jesus, the perfect example of a good and godly husband, gave us an example to follow in our Bible passage we just read from Mk.6:33-37.

Leave a CommentAs the husband and the head of your family, you must understand that whatever you see in the physical has its origin in the spiritual. Furthermore, the spiritual controls the physical, so everything that you do must be seen from first the spiritual perspective
Leave a CommentBeing a husband is a call to warfare. It is a call to conquest. It is a call unto spiritual warfare. Daily, obstacles and invisible traps are laid on the way for you, with the aim to make you lose your place as the head of your family and ultimately dismember your family fold
Leave a CommentAs the head of your family and the shepherd over your sheep, you must understand that your life is created to affect your wife and children positively. Your presence in the lives of your wife and children should be a source of blessing and not a curse. God sent you to lead your wife and provide fatherly influence over your children in ways that please Him. He did not make you the head of the family to be a burden.
Leave a CommentAs the head of the family and the shepherd over your wife and children, you must demonstrate compassion and passion towards their welfare, pains and discomforts. You must feel their pains, their joys and their dreams. The Scriptures say that weep with them that weep and rejoice with them that rejoice (Rom.12:15).
Leave a CommentAs the head of the family and the spiritual leader in your sheepfold, it is important for you to appreciate your flock’s greatest need. What your wife and children need is much more than the clothes you provide for them or the houses you built for them or the vacations you organize for them. What they need the most from you is mentorship. That is what is more enduring than anything else. And that is exactly what Jesus Christ, who is the perfect example of a good and godly husband, tries to teach in Matt.17:14-21.
Leave a CommentOne of the quickest ways to gain the confidence, respect and trust of your wife and children and become a positive influence to other husbands is to be able to solve problems or challenges that show up in their lives and your sheepfold. This includes health, spiritual, financial, mental and emotional challenges.
